Translating a Dream into a Vision
The Dr. Deng Diing Foundation is an arm organization of Aid and Care, Inc. Both organizations work together to create and deliver resources and programs to vulnerable children, orphans and youths and war, poverty, hunger, and health disaster affected communities in South Sudan. One mission, one
goal!

Aid & Care's Founding History
It was in the night of Sunday morning at around 3 on April 23, 2006 when Dr. Deng, a senior student at Niagara University, was sleeping in his one bedroom at O'Donoughue Hall and had a dream. In the dream, a person woke him up and asked him to turn on his TV. He woke up and looked around his room to see if there was someone in the room, but there was nobody in the room. In fact, he knew he was sleeping alone in his one-bed room locked. There was no way someone could have entered his room and waken him up. He sat straight up in his bed while wondering what could that dream be. The voice was still speaking in his head saying turn on the TV.
He turned on the TV and right on the screen of the TV were Larry Jones and his wife Frances Jones. The Founders of Feed the Children. They were presenting the documentary about children and women who were suffering from and dying of hunger and diseases in Kenya and Sudan. Children were dying in the hands of their mothers. While many mothers were unconscious lying on the floor, Dr. Deng felt horrifying and pity on their situations. His cheeks were full of tears while crying all morning long. He went to the church and asked God why all those situations happened to his people in Sudan. Dr. Deng asked himself this question: "If foreign good Samaritans are helping my people, why not me to help them?" His tears and prayers became an inception of translating his dream to vision and action.
From the dream to vision and action, Deng and his Law Professor, Vincent Agnello co-founded Aid and Care on Monday, April, 2006. The Organization was officially registered under 501c3 tax exemption in 2007. Since its inception, Aid and Care has saved hundreds of suffering people in South Sudan. Since then he has been a catalyst in running organization.
